About this Event
About the workshop:
L’environnement, c’est intersectionnel (L’ECI)’s workshop invites people to reframe their understanding of environmental justice through discussions. While presenting concepts such as intersectionality and food sovereignty, its goal is to solidify our understanding of links between different forms of environmental violence and how they operate, centring social impacts. After dismantling problematic solutions, it opens the ongoing conversation of potential ways to resist.
About the facilitator:
Graduated from Lionel-Groulx College in 2017, Lourdenie is passionate about social sciences, mainly sociology, psychology and anthropology. She is currently strengthening her experience on the field by working in the community sector. In the past few years, she invested her time into personal projects as well, such as L’ECI. It is an initiative that combines arts, social engagement, and popular education.
An intersectional feminist, speaker and community worker, she focuses on anything that touches sociology, inclusion and social justice.
