FINAL EPISODE - THE US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES

Americans and their Canadian friends will again gather on October 19th to watch the Final Episode in the US PRESIDENTIAL-ELECTION-TURNED-REALITY-TV-SHOW. At this point, Republican Trump’s campaign appears to be in free fall, after recorded video and audio tapes emerged in which the candidate spoke in lewd, crude, and highly offensive terms about women. The Republican Party is likewise imploding, as Trump’s Congressional supporters quickly distance themselves from his remarks. Even VP running mate Mike Pence issued a statement saying he was personally offended, and withdrew from a scheduled campaign appearance with House Speaker Paul Ryan. And we thought Trump’s zero tax bill was the October Surprise!

What might happen between now and October 19th is anyone’s guess. But in the meantime, Democrats Abroad – the official overseas arm of the Democratic Party - is forging ahead with plans to host the final Debate watch at The Rogue/Waterfront on October 19th.
