The Forks - Where our Stories Meet Tour - Doors Open Winnipeg 2022

Take a trip through time with our tour guide to meet and share stories with the people who have passed through the Forks in the last six millennia. Absorb the experiences of the First Nations who have traded here since the Bronze Age, the first outsiders to chart this territory for Europe, the distinct Indigenous people that sprung from this area amidst the fur trade, and the thousands of immigrants who, in the tradition of the Forks, have arrived from afar to call this place home.

Please note the tour can be modified to avoid stairs but uneven terrain, inclines and declines may be challenging to navigate.

To help keep our community safe, wearing a face mask is recommended.

Guided tours will start at 11:00am, 1:00pm (French tour) and 3:00pm, departing from and finishing at the Travel Manitoba Information Centre (near the Johnson Terminal). Tours will be approximately 60 minutes in length with a maximum of 20 guests.

Online registration is required for all guests! Registration will open Friday, May 20th at noon. A link will be made available here just prior to registration opening.

In regards to the weather forecast: Outdoor events will go on as scheduled if there is light rain. Outdoor events will be cancelled if there are heavy downpours or thunderstorms. Cancellations will NOT be posted.
