The Frontier Within with Paul Kalbfleisch

Beginning October 2017, THEMUSEUM will present Model Citizens featuring two disparate yet playfully connected photography-based exhibitions, Awkward Family Photos and Whose Reality Is It?, that provoke dialogue about our connections with technology, digital media and ultimately each other.

THEMUSEUM, which built a reputation on provoking conversation with its relevant and often controversial exhibitions, will present dynamic dialogues each Wednesday during the exhibition. The Model Citizens Dialogues will consist of speakers, panels and films to complement these two contemporary exhibitions that aim to engage the community in a discussion around the impact of technology on our shared social experience, including a talk with Paul Kalbfleisch titled The Frontier Within.

About The Frontier Within:

We live in an uncomfortable times – where technological, digital and environmental “disruption” has strained our social and economic structures. Paul Kalbfleisch’s talk, The Frontier Within, provides enlightening insight on our current events and provides a hopeful view of the path forward; a future where we stop chasing the frontier beyond the horizon line and embrace the things of value surrounding us. In his talk, Kalbfleisch draws upon his own personal experience working in the technology industry and the arts to present a new and challenging way to make sense of the world around us.

About Paul Kalbfleisch:

Paul Kalbfleisch has spent most of his career in marketing, using his artistic skills to shape corporate brand and social trends. He spent 10 years building BlackBerry’s global brand. Today his consultancy uses the tools and craft of the arts to create inspiring corporate narratives. Kalbfleisch has returned to Kitchener and is helping the community with strategies to embrace the arts to improve the region’s social vibrancy and support the innovation economy.
