About this Event

Announcing the "Group of Seven 100th Anniversary Exhibition", in which we are paying tribute to Canada's greats.

Founded in 1920, the Group of Seven developed the visual images and symbols that still resonate within Canadian landscape painting.

Our non-profit, the Federation of Canadian Artists, was founded by three Group of Seven artists, Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson, and Arthur Lismer.

It was Arthur Lismer who proposed that the goals of the Federation were to improve understanding of the role of artists in society, to encourage youth while supporting established artists and to bring art to the community.

We serve their vision to this day, and on February 18th open an exhibition of member artwork that pays homage to Canada's history.

Where?

Federation Gallery, 1241 Cartwright Street, Vancouver BC, V6H 4B7
