Holy Spirit is a person who communicates Jesus to us. Too often the Spirit is either ignored, misunderstood, or horribly misrepresented. This day is designated to the Spirit— an opportunity to learn, experience, and reconnect with the Spirit.  First, we will spend time searching the Scripture to confirm what we have known but maybe forgotten—the Spirit is a real person who wants to engage with me!  Second, because He is a real person, there is some onus placed upon me to cooperate with Him, listen to Him,  —almost a ‘wooing’ of Him into the centre of my life.  Third, we will look at the connection between cooperating with the indwelling Spirit as that relates to hearing God and being formed into the likeness of Christ.  Last, we will look at the idea of empowerment and the gifts of the Spirit.  The day will also be filled with opportunities to experience the Spirit—listen to Him, communicate with Him and share with others your journey.  Some of this is done in isolation but we will also experience the Spirit together in community.

Learning Outcomes:

• Receive a greater awareness of who the Holy Spirit is.
• Receive a greater appreciation of the gifts of the Spirit.
• Experience the presence and activity of the Spirit in a Soul care setting.

Peter has been a pastor since 1978 and has pastored three churches during that time. He is a Certified Spiritual Director with an active practice serving the spiritual needs of individuals and groups—with a special emphasis to other pastors and ministers. He founded and is the director of Beside Peaceful Streams Inc., a ministry of prayer, soul care, and spiritual direction. Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of event date, will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 3-6 days before the event, we will offer you a credit for future TSFC events. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the event may not receive a refund nor a transfer. If TSFC cancels an event under circumstances that would make the event non-viable, registrants will be offered a full refund. When you register for a event, you agree to these terms.
