CMHPN is pleased to present Rev. Dr. Siang-Yang Tan, Ph.D, Senior Professor of Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary as the facilitator of this very important event.
- Learn about a biblical perspective on human nature with five basic assumptions, and fourteen guidelines for effective counseling and psychotherapy.
- Understand and apply implicit and explicit integration of Christian faith in psychotherapy, in an ethical way, with informed consent of the client, and be aware of the latest empirical evidence supporting the effectiveness of religious and spiritual therapies, including Christian therapies.
- Be aware of the person and work of the Holy Spirit including the power and gifts, truth, and fruit of the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit’s crucial, central and comprehensive role in psychotherapy in at least five ways.
