Description

KFL&A Public Health invites you to join us for a *free* morning workshop to review the impact of trauma and violence during pregnancy and the birth experience. Our speakers will review the evidence, strategies and community supports for women and their families. The workshop is targeted to prenatal educators, midwives, primary care providers, nurses, dietitians, and community and social service providers.

There will be presentations from:

  • Kingston Interval House - Lori MacKenzie

  • Dr Jenna Webber - Resident Physician Public Health and Family Medicine

  • Sexual Assault Centre Kingston - Bethany Smith

  • Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence (SADV) Program - Kingston Health Sciences Centre - Jane Lewis

  • KFL&A Public Health Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Program - Anja Cahill
