About this Event

The John M. Kelly Library will bring its celebratory year to a close on October 23 beginning at 7 p.m. with "The Need to Look Back," an evening of stories about growing up Portuguese in the city by alumnus and author Anthony De Sa (Class of 1989). De Sa's talk will be followed by the opening of an exhibition highlighting the past 50 years of the Library's history and a reception.

Special guest speaker Anthony De Sa was shortlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and Toronto Book Award for his debut 2008 book Barnacle Love, and his latest book, Children of the Moon, was published this year. You'll have a chance to purchase his books at the reception following his talk.
