Gathering on the banks of the Brokenhead River in Manitoba, this retreat will be held on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree and Oji-Cree and Dakota peoples, and near the heart of the Metis Nation.
This retreat offers a time of peace and reflection away from the hurried pace and distractions of the everyday. Skilled facilitators, Dianne Baker and Dan Hines will create a safe, quiet, and disciplined space—a Circle of Trust®—in which the noise within you and around us each can subside, where introspection becomes possible. In large group, small group, and solitary settings, you will explore the intersection of your personal and professional lives, making use of stories from your own journeys, and insights from poets, storytellers, and various wisdom traditions. There will be time for walking the gracious and sacred land in this tranquil oxbow of the Broken Head River. Connecting with nature in turning toward winter will offer time, through metaphor and observation, to slow your pace and reflect on the intersection of soul and role, who you are and what you do.
This retreat is for individuals from all vocations who are seeking renewal of personal identity, professional integrity and vocational vitality, awakening that which changes our lives from within.
Clearness Committee experiences will be a part of this retreat.
