Description

We are delighted to once again welcome Fr. John Behr for our Lenten retreat. Fr John will give three talks on “The Lamb, The Bride, The Marriage Feast: Christology, Ecclesiology, Anthropology” with time for questions and discussion.


The Very Rev. Dr. John Behr is currently the Fr. Georges Florovsky Distinguished Professor of Patristics at St Vladimir’s Seminary in New York, teaching courses in patristics, dogmatics and scriptural exegesis. He is also the Distinguished Lecturer in Patristics at Fordham University, in New York. He has recently accepted the position of Regius Professor of Humanity at the University of Aberdeen and so we are pleased to have him join us again while he is still on this side of the Atlantic.

Registration fee includes a Lenten lunch and coffee.


Schedule:

9:30 am: Sign in and Coffee

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: First Session

12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch

1:00 - 2:30 pm: Second Session

2:30 - 3:00 pm: Coffee/Tea Break

3:00 - 4:30 pm: Third and Final Session

5:00 pm: Vigil

Directions: Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral is at the corner of Lebreton and Eccles streets, one block east of Booth, just south of Somerset. Limited parking is available in the church lot and also at a pay lot at the corner of Lebreton and Somerset. The No. 11 bus stops at the corner of Lebreton and Somerset.
