Description

The Leadership Challenge® Workshop - Aviation & Aerospace Series

Immensely practical and hands-on, The Leadership Challenge® Workshop is designed to inspire, engage, and help leaders develop the skills needed to meet whatever leadership challenges lay ahead. Built around The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, engaging participants in a number of thought-provoking experiences and dialogue.

This tool provides us with some guidance to consider how we “do” leadership in our everyday lives, as leaders of ourselves, teams, communities, families, organizations and nations. Along the way, contributors will collaboratively co-create practical strategies for how they can each apply the concepts to one or more of their real-life challenges they currently face as leaders.

Participants will gain an alternative lens to their leadership practice and ability to: Model the Way; Inspire a Shared Vision; Challenge the Process; Enable Others to Act; and Encourage the Heart.

Included with your investment:

  • The Leadership Challenge Participant Workbook ($110.00 value)

  • The Leadership Challenge 5 Practices Reminder Card

  • Beautifully prepared traditional lunch from Salishan Catering (Musqueam)

  • Experiential activities

This Leadership Challenge® Workshop is part of the Aviation & Aerospace series hosted by the Raven Institute and is great for any aviation and aerospace professional including supervisors, managers, leaders, executives, board members, captains, engineers, technicians, chief pilots, operations managers, airport managers, persons responsible for maintenance, accountable executives.

Your Facilitator: Teara Fraser holds a Master of Arts in Leadership degree from Royal Roads University, and she is a Certified Executive Coach. The journey of learning now takes her back to Royal Roads as Associate Faculty in the Master of Arts in Leadership program and to Fielding University where she is studying in the Human Development Ph.D. program. Teara is trained in the facilitation of The Leadership Challenge® Workshop and the 360 degree Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) assessments.

Becoming a pilot was transformational, truly giving this young Métis woman wings – she loves to see others fall in love with flight. She established the Aviation Leadership Foundation, she recently launched Give them Wings (Indigenous Youth Taking Flight), and she serves as Board Director for the British Columbia Aviation Council. She has held the roles of Chief Pilot, Operations Manager, Person Responsible for Maintenance, and Accountable Executive. With the launch of Iskwew Air, Teara’s entrepreneurial spirit takes her into a new arena as the first Indigenous woman to launch an airline in Canada.

As the visionary of the Raven Institute, she sees connected hearts, minds, and hands in a united and thriving nation. We contribute to the development of humans, teams, organizational systems and community. The Raven Institute is excited to host this aviation and aerospace leadership series.
