The Legislative Environment Surrounding Social Enterprise
Are you an individual or not for profit exploring opportunities for start up, growth and/or scaling of social enterprise? Don’t miss this session exploring the legislative environment surrounding social enterprise in Ontario.
Join SENCO representative, Jacqueline Bayley and professional Lynn Eakin, legal expert from the Ontario Nonprofit (ONN) at the Georgian College Orillia campus (or via livestream) to learn about the corporate structure and legal aspects to support social enterprise in Ontario.
Jacqueline was instrumental in creating the framework for the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Georgian College, and the subsequent launch of the Social Enterprise Network Central Ontario (SENCO) as an identified need for social enterprise support for the not for profit sector across Central Ontario offering workshops, mentors, networking events and resources.
Legal expert Lynn Eakin, Policy Advisor from the Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN), will address the legislative environment with social enterprise as it applies to Ontario and provide insight to particpants.
SPEAKER BIO: Lynn Eakin - Policy Advisor - Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN)
Lynn has been providing consulting services to the nonprofit sector since 1989.
Currently Lynn, one of the founding members of ONN, is involved in better positioning the sector to address the cross-cutting policy issues it faces. She continues to engage in sector research and is involved with ONN in identifying, developing and advocating for systemic reforms to improve the ability of the sector to undertake its important work.
