Limited seating engagement; intimate concert setting

About this event

The Listening Room is a limited seating concert series taking place at the Old Sydney Society. This intimate series will allow for artists to share songs and stories with the audience, and for the audience to fully immerse themselves in the concert experience.

Twin Flames, the new record from POSTDATA, borrows its namesake from the centerpiece song on the album. “Twin Flames” is about a storm, but perhaps more importantly, it’s also about a fire burning through it: pillars and peaks of flame shooting up, merging, becoming one before a gust of wind renders them separate again, left alone to stab at the night sky. Paul Murphy, who leads POSTDATA and east coast indie rock mainstays Wintersleep, says that sometimes being caught in a storm can be an instructive, freeing and powerful experience.

Carolyn Boudreau

Carolyn's sweet voice guides you through her introspective storytelling, keeping you in the palm of her hand as she weaves in and out of songs like a master.

Admission is $20 and the event is appropriate for all ages. We ask all to please respect the artist and setting by keeping conversation to a minimum. If the ticket price is a barrier to your participation, please email connectarts@cbrm.ns.ca for an alternate registration.
