About this Event

This class is being offered by live-stream for people in Barrie and the surrounding areas. Registrants will receive a link allowing them to watch and listen by phone, tablet or computer.

Many people are interested in mindfulness and meditation, but what, exactly, does mindfulness mean? How do we practice it, and how can it help us in our daily life? For centuries, Buddhist practitioners have regarded mindfulness training and meditation as being foundational to a happy and fulfilling life. These are skills we need to cultivate intentionally, and then practice not simply on the cushion, but routinely as we go about our daily life. Mindfulness practice is more than just “being in the moment”. First taught by Buddha, it is a training that continually reminds us to think and act in ways that are beneficial to ourselves and whoever we encounter. As we master this art, our problems gradually fade and our happiness and confidence increase.
