We recognize the varying needs of different genders on their healing journey and strive to create spaces in which everyone can safely express with respect to their personal Indigenous traditions.
White Bison Inc. is currently working to develop a Two-Spirit program, which we will offer as soon as it is available.

The Medicine Wheel & 12 Steps for Men

Freedom’s Path Recovery Society has been established to provide Calgary free addiction counselling, treatment, rehabilitation and advocacy services to both individuals and their family members suffering from behavioural addictions and chemical addictions, to improve their quality of life and better their functioning within their families and the community as a whole.

White Bison Inc and The Wellbriety Movement was founded by Don Coyhis of the Mohican Nation in Colorado Springs in the early 1980’s. The focus was to create an addiction recovery program which utilizes the 12 Steps of Recovery as originally designed by the Alcoholics Anonymous program, and incorporates Indigenous spirituality, teachings and ways of knowing.
