Crow Bait Productions presents:
The Merchant of Venice
Directed by Kim Kaitell and Jason Rip.
A desire to help out his lovestruck friend Bassanio has landed Bay Street commodities broker Antonio O'Dowd in hot water. He owes a considerable sum to a loanshark, Shylock, whom he already has bad blood with. With his tanker ships nowhere to be found, Antonio may have to forfeit a "pound of flesh" and, therefore, his life. Meanwhile pop idol Fair Portia is stuck with the quixotic terms of her father's will which involves her suitors making a choice between three metal caskets. Come see this modernization of Shakespeare's classic The Merchant of Venice opening March 23rd.
