The seven factors of awakening is the Buddha's teaching on the mental qualities than, in combination, create the clarity of mind that leads to freedom from suffering. In this class we will explore each of these factors and how to strengthen them in our meditation practice, as well as how they play out in everyday life.
This class is most suitable for people with some prior experience in meditation.
This class will follow the same format as other Essential Dharma classes, with a mix of guided meditation, discussion, and interactive exercises; the intention is to engage with the teachings both intellectually and experientially.
The 8 week series begins at 7 pm on January 10 and ends on Feb 28. Both you and the group will benefit if you commit to attending all sessions.
