WomanACT's Annual General Meeting & panel discussion on a gender transformative recovery with a focus on the next four years.

About this event

Child care. Economic recovery. Violence against women. Femicide. Once the election is over, the real work begins. Feminists will be monitoring the new government’s commitment to achieving a national gender-focused recovery. The panel discussion will walk through emergent themes of a gender transformative recovery as it relates to the 2021 federal political campaign commitments.


The panel will feature:

Katherine Scott, Senior Economist at Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

Martha Friendly, Executive director and founder of the Toronto-based Childcare Resource and Research Unit

Leila Sarangi, Director of Social Action at Family Services Toronto and National Coordinator of Campaign 2000
