Description

A FREE Community Event

On Saturday June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Parent Resource Centre will hold our second annual Power of Play event at Strathcona Park in Sandy Hill. We had so much fun last year; we decided to do it again!

Families from all over Ottawa are invited to enjoy two exciting StoryWalks® with themed play areas, Art in the Park, a Selfie Station, live music and instruments to make your own music, oversized games (Jenga, Checkers and Connect4), face painting, Parent Zone (new), yummy snacks, and much more.

Playtime, especially with family is our priority and is an essential building block of childhood. It allows children to practice what they are learning. PRC is thrilled to provide an opportunity to bring families together to connect, explore and learn.

This year, PRC is reaching out to all our families and those of our partners and colleagues to engage as many people as possible in this play opportunity – and share the benefits of spending time together. In 2018, we attracted over 300+ families and children and are anticipating 2019 to be just as busy.

Bring a picnic and spend a lovely day in the park - we look forward to playing and learning with you.
