Every interaction you have is shaped by your words. Both the words you use as well as the internal process that goes on in the other person’s heard head – let it be a client, a potential client or a center of influence. People underestimate the power of the words we use. Words can influence if a person decides to do business with you or not, words can connect people or repel people, words can help you build tremendous trust and words influence significantly how the other perceives you.

When you understand the power of words, it can have a tremendous impact on your success. You can truly get to the root things unsaid, better understand how a potential client thinks, what a client needs, what a center of influence really wants.

I love explaining the power of words to my private coaching clients – they are always amazed how sometimes one word, well selected, can trigger an action, a decision and a perception.

This topic is so dear to my heart because I’m absolutely fascinated by consumer behavior and what makes people move into action (which explains why I’m a coach), and I know firsthand that understanding how someone communicates can help you better serve them. I often say ‘words are the doorway to people’s deepest thoughts and patterns’ – and it’s so true!

My goal during this day is not to turn you into a coach (or a therapist!), but it’s to bring awareness of the power of words – the ones you use and the ones people use and bring you tools you can start using right now to influence better, inspire people to work with you and do business at a higher level.
