The Push for Change Community Luncheon
Event Information
Description
On May 1, 2016, Joe Roberts, former homeless youth, began pushing a shopping cart across Canada to raise awareness and dollars to end youth homelessness. This national trek started May 1, 2016 from St. John’s Newfoundland and will end on September 30, 2017 in Vancouver, British Columbia, a 9,000km, 17 month journey.
Joe Roberts will be passing through Kingston on October 6-7, 2016, and United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is coordinating events during his local stop.
The Push for Change Community Luncheon is to help to raise awareness about youth homelessness and provide an opportunity for our community to learn more about this pressing issue, and the work that is being done locally.
