About this Event

On Sept 1, 2019 The Canadian Somaliland Affairs Committee will be honoring Lady Edna Adan. This Conference will see Canadian-Somalilander entrepreneurs, influencers, academics, activists, journalists and politicians. The general public will additionally participate and everyone, including the aforementioned people will come together to further assist Ms. Aden Ismail in continuing her altruistic activities in her country of Somaliland. Ms. Aden Ismail has been involved in the improvement of Somaliland for nearly 30 years. She has built a major hospital that specializes in maternity and offers women innumerable assistance regarding their health. She has also pioneered innovative techniques to educate men and women about sexually transmitted infections and has spearheaded countless events with the sole and unselfish intent to improve her country in different areas.

Prior to this Conference, a fundraiser will be held and Ms. Aden Ismail will be presented with the amount raised to facilitate her relentless dedication to improving Women’s Health in Somaliland, in particular, the expansion of her hospital, an establishment into which she has poured all of her resources and given all of her strength.
