Our panel of experts will discuss Canada's diplomatic response to the Rohingya crisis.

About this Event

What next, now that Canada has declared that the actions of the Government of Myanmar against its Rohingya minority constitutes genocide and has revoked the honorary citizenship of Myanmar's head of state, former political prisoner and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi?

John Packer is Neuberger-Jesin Professor of International Conflict Resolution in the Faculty of Law, and Director of the Human Rights Research and Education centre, at the University of Ottawa.

Dr Kawser Ahmed is the Executive Director of the Conflict and resiliency Research Institute, Canada - CRRIC.

Dr Helal Mohiuddin is the Director of Research and Communication at the CRRIC.

Dr Jodi Giesbrecht is the manager of Research & Curation at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, where she oversees the Museum's research, curatorial, and oral history programs.
