About this event

Enjoy a 5 course Wild Foods meal & overnight stay at the beautiful‘Sanctuary House’ B&B on Amherst Island . This fabulous fine dining experience is prepared by Hintr.land very own Chef Ruthie. This is a destination event experience at the end of a kilometer long driveway on 135 acres nestled in the middle of protected land overlooking marshlands. Served around a beautiful hand built silver maple table while watching wild deer grazing contentedly through rolling meadows. All local ingredients hand harvested and sourced seasonally from the property, each course is curated to heighten your senses and curiosity for more. Suggested wine pairings will be supplied to guests a week in advance along with their designed menu. Each Guest room accommodates 2 people.

Upon arrival to the farmhouse, the host will take you to your room so you can unwind for an hour or more before dinner is served

About the organizer

The host is a mushroom, Wild edibles and game expert. Is a member of the Master Gardeners specializing in native plants, trees and fungi. Soon to be a clinical Herbalist practitioner. Filmed as a guest expert in 3 of 14 episodes of Adventure Chef . Has been a Chef for 25 years specifically working with indigenous foods for approximately the past 15 years and has been teaching Wild food identification for the past 6 years.
