Description

Do you desire to strengthen your relationship with your partner?
Are you feeling stuck, arguing in circles about the same issues?

ABOUT
The Seven Principles Workshop for couples is a two-day marriage workshop based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book—The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop has been offered across Canada and the US (and internationally) and has strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples. It's specifically designed to help couples improve their friendship and learn meaningful communication and conflict management skills.

The workshop includes lectures, demonstrations, videos and private couples exercises. The activities are fun, insightful and informative. And there is no need to worry about sharing your personal problems in front of others... we don't do any group sharing at this workshop.

The two-day workshop will take place over two Saturdays (October 26 & November 9) beginning at 9:00am (doors open at 8:30 for registration, and coffee and continental breakfast) and ending at 4:15pm. There will be an hour lunch break where you can make use of the multiple eateries in the surrounding area.

COUPLES WILL LEARN & PRACTICE RESEARCH-PROVEN TOOLS TO:

  • Make conflict work for your relationship
  • Deepen intimacy and build trust
  • Identify your solvable vs. perpetual issues
  • Strengthen your foundation of friendship
  • Collaborate more effectively to solve problems
  • Communicate clearly and effectively

For over 30 years Dr. John Gottman studied the habits of married couples and the behaviours that put thousands of marriages in a shaky place – as well as the behaviours that helped build relational bonds. Through his research shown in the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, Dr. Gottman has helped couples create safety, connection, and intimate friendship with each other by focusing on the small day-to-day moments that, weaved together, make up the heart and soul of relationships.

WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR:

  • ALL couples in a committed relationship, including:
  • Couples contemplating engagement or pre-marital couples
  • Couples in every phase of relationship, from newlyweds to seniors
