The Stars Are Always Brighter When the Lights Go Out
Wed, 7 December 2016, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM NST
A one-night only reading of an original play written by Timothy Matson.
“The nighttime environment is a precious natural resource for all life on Earth, but the glow of uncontrolled outdoor lighting has hidden the stars and changed our perception of the night,” – Darksky.org
In a city set on the eastern most edge of an island set in the middle of the cold north Atlantic, it can get a little lonely. And when the weather starts to change and shift and move towards winter, it can get a little cold. And when the fog rolls in and the clocks turn back, it can get a little dark. But sometimes, five people who know or think they know or have barely even met or think they might recognize each other can find a little more light in the night sky. A romantic comedy about finding yourself alone and finding a person who just might get it, when the light is finally dark enough.
Featuring Madeline Roche, Jacob Martin, Caitlin Harte, Timothy Matson, and Kiersten Noel.
And a performance from St. John's newest vocal trio, The Sweet Serendipities! (Emily Follett, Vicki Harnett, and Kiersten Noel, with Kyle McDavid on keyboard)
Cash bar available.
