Doors open 6:30pm, event starts 7pm.
THE EVENT
Innovation Factory, kitestring creative branding studio, Fullerton Media, and Mohawk College have teamed up to host a screening of The Startup Kids. After watching the trailer for this film, we knew it had to be shown here in Hamilton and saw the opportunity to bring together the best and brightest of Hamilton's entrepreneur and startup community.
The Startup Kids is a documentary about young web entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Europe. It contains interviews with the founders of Vimeo, SoundCloud, Kiip, Dropbox, and many others who talk about how they started their company and their lives as an entrepreneur.
The movie is made by two Icelandic entrepreneurs, Vala Halldorsdottir and Sesselja Vilhjalmsdottir, who founded their first company shortly after the economic collapse of Iceland and wanted to motivate other young people to become entrepreneurs.
The film will be screened at the beautiful McIntyre Performing Arts Centre at Mohawk College!
