Event Details

This is the first in a series of five talks that will be given by seasoned bioentrepreneurs and experienced professionals that will both entertain you and educate you on what it takes to be a bioentrepreneur.  This “kick-off” talk by Marcus Brady will touch upon many of the issues related to the creation and commercialization of inventions. 

 

Speaker Biography

Mr. Brady is a principal in the firm IBIS Business Development Consulting and Principal NineSigma in Canada.  In this capacity he accelerates the development and commercialization of high technology products.  This often includes fulfilling the business development needs of companies in healthcare, pharma/biotech, IT, manufacturing and communications (partnering, in/out licensing of products and technologies, acquisition of capital, and development of business, IP and CI strategy).

 

Previously, Mr. Brady worked for over 20 years in the Pharmaceutical industry where he led PainCeptor's and Neurochem’s corporate alliance initiatives fully-integrated drug firms.  Drawing upon an extensive background in technology licensing, venture capital, contract negotiation, intellectual property protection, research and development, and corporate alliance formation, he managed the commercialization of their therapeutics for the treatment of pain and Alzheimer’s disease. 

 

Mr. Brady holds a M.Sc. in Medical Physiology from the Health Sciences Centre of the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  He is a charter member of TIE and a member of its Ottawa Executive and a member of Licensing Executives Society.  www.ibis-innovation.com ; www.ninesigma.com
