In recognition of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (October), I'm proud to invite you to my first live event in Ottawa: The Streetwise Security Awareness Executive Breakfast

This event is designed for CIO's, CISO's and Senior Managers with IT Security responsibilities. In this 90 minute interactive session, we will explore the following topics related to Security Awareness for businesses:

  • Live Story and introduction from a local Guest IT Executive
  • The Honey Stick Project: an innovative metric for guiding security awareness assessment, planning and educational content
  • Security Awareness for Mobile Employees (a sampling of content from one of my live employee content sessions)
  • Case Studies in Security Awareness: How different organizations approach this unique and important type of education
  • Live demonstrations of effective security awareness education approaches including Computer-Based Training, Webinars and even games that engage!
  • Plus some bonus industry data...

In having designed and delivered security awareness programs for both public and private sector organizations over the past few years, the common thread I've seen is that each organization is unique. So, awareness programs tend to need varying degrees of focus in each area. IT managers rarely have the time and resources to create and deliver this type of customized content.

This is why I'm offering you a view into the approaches used by different businesses to arrive at a tailor-made program to meet their specific compliance and risk management objectives.

I hope you will be able to attend, and feel free to invite others to register, or share this event on Facebook and Twitter. However, to maximize value for your time, I am making an effort to limit attendance to only managers who have responsibilities for implementing security in operations or security education within their organizations.

I hope you can make it!

Cheers,
Scott Wright
