In recognition of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (October), I'm proud to invite you to my first live event in Ottawa: The Streetwise Security Awareness Executive Breakfast.
This event is designed for CIO's, CISO's and Senior Managers with IT Security responsibilities. In this 90 minute interactive session, we will explore the following topics related to Security Awareness for businesses:
In having designed and delivered security awareness programs for both public and private sector organizations over the past few years, the common thread I've seen is that each organization is unique. So, awareness programs tend to need varying degrees of focus in each area. IT managers rarely have the time and resources to create and deliver this type of customized content.
This is why I'm offering you a view into the approaches used by different businesses to arrive at a tailor-made program to meet their specific compliance and risk management objectives.
I hope you will be able to attend, and feel free to invite others to register, or share this event on Facebook and Twitter. However, to maximize value for your time, I am making an effort to limit attendance to only managers who have responsibilities for implementing security in operations or security education within their organizations.
The continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 and the session will begin at 9:00am.
Who says October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month?
Well, Public Safety Canada says so: http://www.staysafeonline.org/ncsam/
... and so does the US Department of Homeland Security. It's actually the 10th annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The event is being held at "The Conference Centre" (TCC), which is a private conference facility with its entrance off the first floor inside lobby of 340 Albert St. in Downtown Ottawa. It is located at the southwest corner of Kent St. and Albert St. in the Constitution Square III building. There are several public pay parking lots in the area, including underground parking at Constitution Square, Place de Ville, and 240 Sparks.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
