presents The Tale of a Town - Barton Street by FIXT POINT
This is part of a national oral history and theatre initiative The Tale of a Town - Canada that is documenting and celebrating main street stories across the country.
Between September 27 and October 8, The Tale of a Town team has conducted interviews with business owners, community leaders and residents about Barton Street and how it has changed over the years.
Gathered tales have inspired the creation of a free, cinematic audio installation featuring live music, theatre and performance. The event takes place at Cafe 541's FUTURE community kitchen space at 619 Barton Street East on October 21st at 2pm, 4pm, 7pm and 9pm.
Tickets are now available. Advance booking is recommended as space is limited (40 capacity) ! Tickets are "Pay What You Want" at the door, and all proceeds will be donated to 541 Eatery and Exchange. Please feel free to call us at 905 548 0111.
