Event description

Description

What are the things people carry with them when migrating to a new place? They may not look valuable at first sight, but there are always stories behind them. Come join us at this second set of storytelling circles since our successful launch in the Richmond Museum in June.

Nov. 24 (Sat.) at BC Artscape (Sun Wah Centre, Chinatown, Vancouver)

  • 1:00-1:30pm - Registration, greetings & entertainment

  • 1:30-2:45pm - First circle (1-2 storytellers)

  • 2:45-3:00pm - Break with refreshments

  • 3:00-4:15pm - Second circle (1-2 storytellers)

  • 4:15-4:30pm - debriefing & mingling

  • 4:30-5:00pm - Clean-up

Come and join us for the opportunity to share our rich migration stories and make connections to others who have called Pacific Canada home!

This event is mainly conducted in English, but if you have family members who are uncomfortable sharing in English, you're welcome to provide translation for them and have them participate that way. It has worked before and we welcome your efforts to include them.

This event is free to those who sign up in advance and light refreshments will be provided. People who show up without pre-registration will be expected to make a donation on the door.
