Description

The Trauma of Money: Breaking up with money narratives that are holding you back in business and in life.

Why do we incur in the same patterns? Why do we overspend? Why do we under charge? Why do we feel nervous about quoting our rates? Why do we accumulate debt? Why are we unable to save? Why do we spend money we don’t have?

In this comprehensive session, Mindful Money expert, Chantel Chapman and Psychotherapist Hiroko Demichelis will come together, combining their perspective on financial distress, psychological trauma, and how to dissolve money blocks inhibiting your prosperity.

Trauma contributes writing scripts, embedded into our nervous system, that leads us to different painful money narratives and disruptive behaviors. Without healing our relationship with the past, understanding the consumerism landscape that also influences us and changing the unhelpful scripts, financial strategies will only help superficially.

We will cover the following topics:

  • Recognizing the different types of energetic blocks that we experience with our money

  • How the brain works with trauma

  • Money narratives, self-exploration

  • Tools for healing and stepping into your deserving power

  • Cashflow Hacks

  • Meditation

*Note: All sales are final, if you cant make the event we suggest gifting your ticket to a friend.

Experience leaders bios

As the founder of W-T-Finances, Chantel Chapman is considered the money teacher you have been waiting for; renowned for her edgy, relatable and soulful mindful money guidance. Drawing influence from 14 years of experience as a mortgage broker, 10 years as a financial literacy consultant, and extensive research in addiction, behavioral science and mindfulness, her distinct disciplines make learning about money the antithesis of anything you experienced through traditional schooling. Chantel recognized the need to explore the ties between addiction and money to help people heal, grow, and strengthen their relationship with their bank accounts. After completing meditation teacher training in India and Vancouver, intentional mindfulness for healing behavioral issues with money have become a core part of her financial literacy business. Chantel is also the co-founder of School by K&P, an online school for creative entrepreneurs that also provides free education for marginalized communities across North America.

Hiroko started her career in psychology assisting her father, Bruno Demichelis, a world renowned sport psychologist, at the neuro-lab of a premier League soccer team (Chelsea Fc). Using cutting edge technology (neurofeedback and biofeedback) she witnessed the possibility to help top athletes measuring, training and improving their focus, attention stamina and self-regulation. Working with top athletes, she noticed that even among high performers, there were individuals with internal blocks and/or self-sabotaging types of behavior. She realized that she was also blocked in her own story. She learnt that when human beings experience trauma, these traumatic events can stay “stuck” in the nervous system and tend to re-appear every time a trigger awakens them. Since then psychological healing became her primary focus, and today she is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in the province of British Columbia, Canada, and a certified expert in the use of neurofeedback and biofeedback through the BCIA. Her credentials also include training in REBT (cognitive behavioral training) EMDR (trauma healing technique) and Mindfulness based therapy. She has worked extensively with trauma clients, and she is now using an integrative approach where she combines EMDR, Gestalt, sound and light entrainment, biofeedback, heart rate variability and neurofeedback. Her goal is to provide a broad tool box to support quick yet profound recovery.
