The Untold Stories of Refugee Women's SUPERPOWERS
Often, we fail to give enough emphasis to the struggles that one faces as a woman. Being a refugee woman can be even more demanding in terms of the need for perseverance and strength. On the occasion of International Women's Day, join us to listen to inspiring stories and insights from amazing women leaders with lived experiences. We are positive that will give additional hope and courage to all women and refugee women in particular!

Guest Speakers:
Farah Mohamed is a seasoned senior executive with extensive and broad national and international experience in government, social-profit and for-profit sectors. She is the founder of G(irls)20 and former CEO of Malala Fund.
Peng-Sang Cau has been named as part of Canada’s Top 19 Tech Titans of 2019 by IBM. Peng is the former President and CEO of Transformix Engineering Inc. Recently, Peng joined the UNHCR Canada Advisory Council, which seeks to raise awareness of UNHCR’s work through outreach to organizations, business leaders, and key decision makers in the corporate community.
Lauren Jade Young currently works as the Intake and Case Support Officer at Rainbow Railroad. She is a registered Social Service Worker, a member of the Anti-Black Racism Committee at Ryerson University, and the co-chair of the Toronto Police LGBTQI2S Community Consultative Committee .
Rez Gardi is joining us from her work on the grounds in the Middle East. She is a Kurdish New Zealander international lawyer and human rights activist. She was awarded the Young New Zealander of the Year for 2017. She graduated as a Fulbright Scholar with a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and is the first Kurd in history to graduate from Harvard Law.
