No matter how eclectic music tastes can get, there's always something to be said for artists who give traditional genre lines a boisterous middle finger. The Upperclass Men are an example of what happens when boundaries set by genre typecasting are shattered in favour of a mind-rattling live show. Hitting the road after the release of their Parachutes EP, Southern Ontario is about to get a taste of rap-rock whiplash in an unforeseen way. Joined by Toronto's own hip hop fusion band Vibonics on the tour, the Toronto show will also feature a performance by 12th Letter and music by DJ James Redi.

About The Artists:
The Upperclass Men Website – Facebook – Twitter – YouTube
Many fans have described them as "The Beastie Boys meets The Roots", after seeing a live show. Or Hip-Hop X-Men. Superpowers and All. THE UPPERCLASS MEN™ believe that a great deal of their friends, associates, and colleagues that they attended school with, and people they are in the company of, don’t understand who THE UPPERCLASS MEN™ are as people. THE UPPERCLASS MEN™ act, conduct, and think differently from most of them. The six animated images serve as the logo for THE UPPERCLASS MEN™ embodying the personalities of the ensemble. The creed that THE UPPERCLASS MEN™ abide by is very unique and contrast most model hip-hop personas due to their extensive level of creativity, entrepreneurship, & diligence towards their vessel.

Vibonics are a hip-hop-funk-rock band from Toronto, Canada. A six-piece as culturally diverse as the city they represent, they boast distinct musical and ethnic backgrounds that combine for a truly unique flavour. Vibonics’ debut four-track EP has earned them press in some of the nation’s highest profile media outlets, including Toronto’s NOW Magazine, Edmonton’s VUE Weekly and the Breakfast Television morning show. Since the release of their debut offering, they have toured across Canada, performed at three major music festivals in their hometown (Canadian Music Week, NXNE and Indie Week), and shared stages with both established and emerging artists such as Grammy-nominated Jon B and Stalley of Maybach Music Group. This past May they were granted the MARTY Award for Emerging Performing Arts Group of the Year by the Mississauga Arts Council.
12th Letter
Break hip-hop down to its essence of instantly memorable lyrics with unpredictable metaphors and wordplay over carefully chosen beats, and you have everything embodied by Toronto’s "12th Letter". With inspirations as diverse as Nas, Jay-Z, Rakim, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, L has set out to make commercially viable hip-hop and plans to break new ground for the culture. Discovering his aptitude for putting together rhymes in his early teens, by age 16 the now 26-year-old had decided to turn his hobby into a career. After rapping in a group called All-City until 2009 and getting a taste of the industry by opening for Ne-Yo and Swizz Beatz at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre in 2007, and meeting with influential figures such as Russell Simmons, L went solo. “I used to pride myself on my lyrics and that is the thing I’m most comfortable with,” L sums up. “But I want to pride myself on really making good songs that have longevity, that stick and impact the culture for years to come.”
