THE EVENT

Wednesday 29th March 2017 @ Work Life (Work.Life Camden, 13 Hawley Crescent, NW1 8NP)

Welcome back to The UX Crunch, where we will be touching back on Service Design with some excellent insights and interesting case studies. As User Experience has matured as a discipline, it has increasingly borrowed from the field of Service Design to move beyond just interface design and think about all aspects of designing end to end experiences.

We will be joined by Will Osborn of EY-Seren, who will be exploring a recent project which helped their client to build new customer-centrerd global services, as well as Roman Schoeneboom of Tesco, to discuss the challenges of mapping within a business, the tools of the trade and some best practice examples to take away. More to follow...

Open to all levels of experience, this event will be an insightful exploration of Service Design in practice and with space for up to 150, we would like to invite you straight from work for 6.30pm to unwind with other UX professionals over some craft beer, wines and pizza. We will be networking from 6.30pm and Guest Talks will begin around 7.10pm. This will be a great event and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Hiring managers are welcome, and if you are interested in hosting or sponsoring an event (and would like to get a taste of what we do), please get in touch with Myles McMorrow and we can hold you a ticket!

Tweet the event @TheUXCrunch and let’s get the ball rolling! We look forward to seeing you soon!!!

Roman Schoenboom, Service Designer - Tesco

“A journey of thousand miles starts with a single step.” (Lao Tzu).

Mapping within a business is a challenging undertaking. In this presentation you’ll learn why we are mapping, how we are working with these tools and what we learned from the process. Take aways will be what to focus on when doing the next mapping exercise, being aware of the right terminology and see a best practise example.

Roman is currently Senior Service Designer at Tesco PLC. If he is not out in the wild doing hands-on user research and analysis, you can find him either leading workshops or mentoring session or supporting different teams with method training and a pinch of teutonic efficiency. He is part of the Digital Customer Experience team which works on scaling up the agile/service design/design thinking capability within Tesco. Roman is a certified facilitator for the LEGO Serious Play method, loves methodologies and training others and is a avid drummer.
