Join York University Professor Dr. Laurence Packer as he unravels some of the mysteries of these magnificent species.

About this Event

Dr. Laurence Packer is a Professor of Biology at York University where he has worked since 1988. He teaches Entomology and Biodiversity courses. His research is on bees and he has published two books; "Keeping the Bees" and "Bees: An Up-Close Look at Pollinators Around the World" with Sam Droege. He and his team have published over 200 research papers on various topics including sociobiology, conservation, genetics, phylogenetics, biogeography and taxonomy, and have described over 170 new species of bees.

Tickets are $15 for NANPS members, $20 for General Public and the event is free to University of Toronto and York University students (please show student ID)
