Event Details

What does 2016 hold for international security? Where might instability and conflict occur in 2016? Will stabilization missions continue to face significant challenges in the Middle East and North Africa and in Europe? What are the implications of the cyber dimensions of conflict and competition in the security and economic realms? And how will the US election in 2016 affect US policy and international security?

The Canadian Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies (CCISS) at Carleton University is organizing a one-day conference on 'The Year Ahead' with experts from the US, Europe, and Canada providing commentary and views on a range of topics from China to Pakistan, the Islamic State to Iran, Russia to the US on issues such as state-to-state conflict, nuclear proliferation, cyber dimensions of security, and terrorism.
