This three-part workshop provides busineses with a holistic approach to designing, using, and procuring sustainable products and packaging.
About this event
Many small businesses have difficulty finding sustainable packaging that is aligned with their environmental goals.
In this three-part workshop participants will recieve guidance on how to choose sustainable materials, engage with responsible suppliers and communicate their approach to customers.

Week One: Goals, roles and responsibilites in a sustainable supply chain
In a sustainable supply chain, each stakeholder plays a specific role and at the same time, is part of a bigger network of producers, suppliers and consumers. The goal of this workshop is to highlight the interconnectivity and relationships between different stakeholders.

Week Two: Design and procurement of sustainable products and packaging
Many businesses have difficulty finding sustainable packaging that is aligned with their environmental goals. In this workshop we will explore checklists and guidelines for choosing and sourcing packaging.

- Matching end-of-life with appropriate materials
- Understanding biodegradation terms, symbols and messaging
Week Three: Communicating your product's waste management strategy
Current waste management systems are designed for only certain types of materials, leaving the customers responsible for choosing where products end up. This workshop covers how to design a waste management strategy for your product and effectively communicating these considerations to your customers.
