THINK TANK Series 2 - Afternoon Session (1:00 - 2:00 PM EST)
Event Information
About this Event
The Think Tank Series provides NIA members with an open forum to discuss issues around different themes. Led by a moderator, Think Tanks encourage communication and sharing of best practices to help us all succeed. Where the conversation goes is up to the dynamics of the group. Our goal is to celebrate the expertise of our membership and give a platform to allow the sharing of questions and possible solutions to shared challenges to all our businesses.
Discussion groups will be limited to maximum of 5 people, plus a moderator.
Series 2 - Working & Planning Within Volatile Supply Chains
Join your peers to discuss best practices, challenges, and changes that your firm has experienced operating within ever-evolving supply chains. Some of the topics that will be discussed, but not limited to:
• How much power do your suppliers have on your resiliency as a business?
• As a result of certain economic factors (i.e. COVID-19, foreign exchange, freight, tariffs, etc.), are you reviewing your supply chain and looking for more local suppliers?
• For those of us who work with suppliers outside of Canada, how have you managed global volatility?
• Do you have an import/export diversification strategy in place?
• Has the pandemic shifted your supply chain or logistics patterns? How have you adapted? Have you switched modes, created redundancies for future protection, or found new ways to cut costs?
*Please note that this event is for NIA members only and provides added value to our membership. Registrants that are not involved as members of the NIA may not be permitted to attend the event.
