About this event

Thriving with ADHD/ADD is a series of four workshops that aims to provide effective strategies on various topics relating to ADHD and ADD. This session will focus on the following:

  • Explore how ADHD challenges can impact communication with others
  • Learn non- violent communication strategies to distinguish between needs vs. wants, identify triggers, and ask for help effectively

About the Facilitators

  • Ly Hoang, MA, RCC - Ly holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Counselling sessions with Ly are focused on building self-efficacy by identifying strengths and fostering resiliency.
  • Britt Phillips, RPN – Britt holds a Diploma of Psychiatric Nursing from Douglas College and has 8 years of experience working in the field of psych nursing. After spending 5 years working with children and youth at BC Children’s hospital in various mental health programs Britt joined SFU’s Health and Counselling Team
