Through the Lens session 1-4: Youth Action and Arts Space (10-15 Year Olds)
Sat, 10 June 2017, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
Through the Lens 2.0 is a (returning!) four-week photography program focused on the ways you want to change the world! Explore an issue that is important to you, discover ways to communicate about it visually and take a photo for an exhibit at The 519 on June 17 during Pride. Note: this program has a bonus class on Saturday June 10.
The 519’s Youth Action and Arts Space offers fun, friends and cool opportunities for a few hours two Saturdays per month, excepting January, September, July and August.
6 - 9 years old: Every first & third Saturday of the month, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
10 - 15 years old: Every first & third Saturday of the month, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The 519 is collaborating with community-based arts educators to facilitate a program of arts-based activities with queer, trans, and gender independent kids and the kids of queer and trans families.
The goal is to offer a variety of arts-based programming for young people between the ages of 6-15 in a safe and affirming environment that is free and accessible to the community.
