Little Mountain Improv - Vancouver
Little Mountain Improv is an all star ensemble of Vancouver based improvisers who perform a dynamic weekly show in the heart of East Vancouver. With a huge expanse of collective experience, LMI brings their honed skills together to forge new and exciting forms.
TwoSon - Toronto
TwoSon does slice-of-life, slow burn improv that all takes place in one large location, as suggested by the audience. Devon and Jackie play a variety of characters that all live in the same world. Their sets spin out on a theme but return to the original idea.
EbonyEssenceJet - Chicago
EbonyEssenceJet was created when six female African-American improvisers saw a lack of their voice in the Chicago improv community. Five of the women had either gone through or were going through professional improv training at a prestigious institution when they realized that typecasting and stereotypes in sketch comedy was an issue. EbonyEssenceJet was created as a group for exploring thoughts, ideas, and viewpoints in improv without thinking about the actor’s outward appearance.
Fjord - Philadelphia
What happens when 2 male space cows are tasked with keeping their species alive and they are the only 2 left of their kind? That’s one of the many questions FjORD explores every Wednesday night at the Philadelphia Improv Theater. Starting with a cocktail party style of character dialouges exploring issues from whimsical love nerves to feelings of desperation, FjORD then breaks into a Harold of witty, mind-blowing scenes full of terror, joy, postmodern antics, and engaging, grounded, high energy scenework. Don’t miss this up-and-coming group that’s taking Philly by storm.
Doorman - New York City
Doorman is an NYC based improv team formed out of an advanced Harold practice group assembled by Shaun Diston (Upright Citizens Brigade). Specializing in montages, Doorman prides itself on providing audiences with high energy, game-focused scenes.
Golden - Austin
Golden is inspired by the silent works of Charlie Chaplin and Monsieur Hulot, and films such as Metropolis, The General, and Playtime. On stage, the cast will improvise silent stories and scenes while developing relationships with each other, using only their facial expressions, emotional noises, body language, and spacework.
