Tie Dye Workshop

Students will work together with workshop leaders to create various tie dye patterns on their own items of choice!

Students will require access to Google Meets.

Materials:

- Fabric or acrylic paints (we recommend starting with 3 colours, can do more)

- Spray or squeeze bottles, 1 for each colour you plan to use (can also use plastic water bottles with hole in the lid) …squeeze bottles work better for saturating shirt, spray bottles have less control of paint

- Elastic/rubber bands

- 3 old/new white (or light) t-shirts or other fabric

- Rubber gloves

Recommended but not required:

- Textile medium (to be mixed w/ fabric paint and water) (this prevents bleeding of the colours)

- Paint brushes (in addition to spray bottles, these can be used to add more colour)

- For drying: a rack/place to hang and newspaper for dripping OR dryer
