A basic introduction to TIG Welding.

About this event

TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is the next step in furthering your welding skills. The sequel to MIG Welding 101, this course goes over the different types of welds, techniques, and how to prepare your material for welding, tacking, and laying down a simple bead. You will also learn about the specific safety considerations associated with the TIG Welder. Please note, you will not learn how to weld aluminum in this class.

We require that students must bring their own safety glasses or they will be available for purchase at the front desk for $5. Students must also bring their own welding helmets and gloves.

Please note, due to COVID-19, the following measures are now in place for this class:

  • It is recommended that everyone sanitize their hands upon entering the building.

3 hours

Set up welder, prep pieces for welding, lay a clean weld bead.
