Event description
Until Thankgiving, select buildings in Doon Heritage Village will be open on weekends only. Timed tickets must be purchased in advance.

About this Event

Starting on Friday, September 25, join us for our newest exhibit, "Human Plus: Real Lives + Real Engineering". Human Plus is an engaging and interactive exhibit that shows how we all can use our ingenuity to build body replacements, develop brain-machine interfaces, and engineer unique assistive tools that push human potential beyond limits. Human Plus invites visitors to explore the dynamic, creative, user-focused engineering processes that help improve people’s lives.

The exhibit offers guests of all ages the chance to explore and create a range of low and high-tech tools that extend the abilities of the human body. Human Plus showcases compelling stories from a unique field of engineering that not only helps people carry out their day-to-day routines, but also helps them realize lifelong dreams.

Please note, the main gallery and the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame are closed.

A Doon Heritage Village ‘Walk in the Park’ experience is included with the ticket. Until Thanksgiving, Doon Heritage Village welcomes you back to 1914 with limited Village buildings reopening for special themed weekends! Please note that farm animals will not be present for the village experience and outdoor washrooms remain closed (indoor museum washrooms are available), as they are too small to adhere to provincial and Region of Waterloo Public Health guidelines.

Tickets must be purchased in advance .
