From the RCDSO Guidelines: Educational Requirements & Professional
Responsibility for Implant Dentistry

DENTISTS WHO LIMIT THEIR PRACTICE TO ONE PHASE ONLY (SURGICAL OR PROSTHETIC) OF DENTAL IMPLANT TREATMENT MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A COURSE OR COURSES INVOLVING NOT LESS THAN 35 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION FOR THE PHASE PRACTICED AND 14 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION FOR THE PHASE NOT PRACTICED.


THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR DENTISTS WHO ARE PRACTICING PROSTHETIC IMPLANT THERAPY.

14 HOURS OF SURGICAL PHASE WILL BE GIVEN IN BETWEEN NOVEMBER 2016-MAY 2017 AS EVENING LECTURES.

THE 35 HOURS OF PROSTHETIC INSTRUCTION WILL OCCUR IN FALL 2017-SPRING 2018 AS A COMBINATION OF EVENING AND FULL DAY LECTURES.

Once completed, you will have satisfied the minimum implant educational requirements.

Registration Fee: $75+HST per session, by cheque on the day of the course.

SPEAKER INFO:

Dr. Jaffer Kermalli completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) majoring in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto graduating with high distinction. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with honours and a Masters of Science (MSc) specializing in Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kermalli focuses on treatment of periodontal (gum) diseases and related conditions as well as dental implant related surgery.
Dr. Kermalli has a full time practice in north Toronto, and has been working at WhitePines Dental in Timmins since 2014. He is also a part-time clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.
Dr. Kermalli’s passion project is organizing and volunteering foreign aid missions. He regularly travels overseas to with dental and medical teams to treat orphans, widows and refugees in countries like Iraq and Greece.
