The Faculty of Education and the Education Students’ Association (EdSA) at the University of Victoria are pleased to host a day of presentations, panel discussions and viewings focused on Inclusive Education in today’s K-12 classrooms. Featuring: teacher, researcher, consultant and storyteller Shelley Moore; a video-screening of the award-winning documentary “Intelligent Lives” by filmmaker Dan Habib; and an interactive panel of experts from the B.C. Ministry of Education and local School Districts. This free event offers classroom teachers, school administrators, Education students, families and community members the opportunity to enrich their understanding and practices related to Inclusive Education.


Schedule:

Coffee: 9 to 9:30 am

Welcome: 9:30 to 9:45 am

Keynote by Shelley Moore: 9:50 to 10:50 am

“Intelligent Lives” viewing: 11 am to 12:10 pm

Lunch (provided): 12:15 to 1 pm

Panel Discussion: 1 to 2 pm

Q&A: 2 to 2:30 pm

Closing: 2:30 to 3 pm
