About This Session

Activity: Potato Masher Painting

Today we are going to paint using unique tools. Let’s make prints on our paper by using white paint and a potato masher. It is fun to get children to explore making prints using different tools. We’ll be enhancing fine motor skills and tool use as we explore utensils as paint brushes.

Materials needed:

potato masher

white Paint and container to put it in

Paper

Young children like to explore colours and textures. This program offers preschool children an opportunity to be creative, to explore new ideas, and express their imagination and creativity while supporting early learning skills.
