Event description

Description

Join a guided walk through Toogood Pond with the TRCA to learn about the natural and human history of the Rouge River watershed. Afterward, take a self-guided tour of the Varley's new exhibition Refuge to explore the physical and psychological effects of the forest upon both humans and animals alike.

The day will begin with Indigenous community leaders Mim Harder, and Becky Big Canoe as they lead participants through a Water Walk ceremony.

Water Walks are based on Anishinaabe ceremonial water teachings to honor water as a main source of life.
